President Emma Kent and Past-President Karen-Lynn Ouellette were joined by several other HSO members in serving on the panel of judges for this year’s Ottawa Regional Heritage Fair. It was a challenging job because of the high quality of the projects.
At the closing ceremony, HSO representatives were proud to present our two awards, as determined by the panel of judges. The Sir Richard William Scott Award was given to Saayuja B., a student at Westboro Academy, for her excellent project entitled “L’Hôpital Montfort.”
HSO’s Indigenous Sacred Chaudière Falls Award went to Drake F. and Madden B. of Eganville and District Public School. Their project “Feather Teaching” earned them the award.
