The Historical Society of Ottawa was thrilled to again serve as official patron, and to participate on-site in the Ottawa Regional Heritage Fair, held April 26, 2023, at the Canadian Museum of History in Gatineau, Quebec. Ottawa-themed projects were plentiful, including presentations about the Tulip Festival and Ringette! Many congratulations to all the students who participated!

Our Indigenous Sacred Chaudière Falls Award went to Biidaazhe, Isabel, and Aaliya, students in grades 6 to 8 at Eganville and District Public School, for their impeccably researched and moving presentation on Residential Schools.

Our Sir Richard William Scott Award went to 8th graders Arjun and Eero, students at Immaculata High School, for their intriguing French-language project, Le Canal Rideau, which included a beautifully crafted diorama.
