Bytown Series # 1. The title on the cover is "Sights and Surveys" whereas the full title is on the title page. John MacTaggart's two reports were originally printed in volume 1 of his book Three Years in Canada: An Account of the Actual State of the Country in 1826-7-8 (London, 1829, 2 vols). Bytown Pamphlet Series #1 "John Burrows and Others on the Rideau Waterway" is an abridged version of this publication. 1979.
