Story of famous aviator Charles Lindbergh, specifically regarding his visit to Ottawa just a few weeks after his record-breaking solo flight across the Atlantic Ocean. The pamphlet provides details on Lindbergh’s meeting with Prime Minister Mackenzie King, and the death of one of Lindbergh’s escort pilots, Thad Johnson, on the way to Ottawa. Written by documentary filmmaker Joseph Temple who focused on aviation from the Second World War, and also wrote about President Franklin Roosevelt’s relationship with Ontario Premier Mitchell Hepburn over the issue of hydro-electric power at Niagara Falls during the Great Depression, and on Canadian-American relations regarding Prohibition.
