125. W. C. Edwards: Lumber Baron, Founder of Rockland, Ontario

Author Bryan D. Cook has created the first comprehensive biography of William Cameron Edwards (1844–1921), a successful lumber baron, stockbreeder, businessman and politician. The son of Scottish immigrants to the Ottawa Valley township of Clarence, Edwards left as much of a mark on the industrial development of the Ottawa region as any of the better known lumber barons.

Dedicated to the well-being of his employees, find his address to them on the 50th anniversary of the founding of his company at “Document History” section of this pamphlet.
