Guest Speaker
Nancy Pyper, Past President, May Court Club of Ottawa
Details
On the eve of May Day 1898, Lady Aberdeen summoned together the daughters of Ottawa’s “finest families” and challenged these young women to make it their mission to help others – to carry their talents and concern forth into the world under the banner of service. Thus was the birth of the May Court Club, an organization which has answered Lady Aberdeen’s call admirably for over a century, fighting tuberculosis, providing care and support to those in need.
Come hear about the remarkable legacy of Ottawa’s May Court Club.
Plus, Grant Vogl joins us for “What’s New at the Bytown Museum”.
All are welcome to attend without charge.
