The story of Philemon Wright’s settlement, carved out of the Ottawa Valley wilderness in 1800, is truly emblematic of the story of Canada’s early development. Philemon Wright’s dreams, successes and failures are captured as Rick Henderson (a direct descendant of Wright) provides an intimate snapshot of the man and his family.

Rick Henderson is the author of "Walking in the Footsteps of Philemon Wright."
